Everyone can get behind Alan in his aim to raise money for Buxton and the High Peak. Whether you Sponsor a Ride, offer help in the form of organising the ride starts, help us promote the event, help vital services with a visit to our Just Giving page or cheer Alan as he rides by on one of 19 rides. This is our town set in beautiful countryside, our community, let's all pull together and make this happen !
We will be riding out as a group of 6 departing from the Pavilion Gardens on the morning of 26th September at 11pm. We would be delighted to welcome other cyclists but we need to be sure that we separate into groups of no more than 6 riders.
As a community much in our calendar has been wiped out by the events of 2020. Buxton is normally a town where there is always something going on, for local people and for visitors, all of which goes to make our town the vibrant and wonderful place to live that it is.
Alan’s Challenge is doing something different for the community.
Each day “Riding out of Lockdown” will focus on different aspects of Buxton’s heritage, from Elizabethan to present day, the huge cultural experiences on offer and the wonderful Peak District where the rides take place.
All rides begin within Buxton or out in the Peak District National Park at a location chosen by the ride sponsor. As a sponsor you can help your business with raised awareness and boosting the visitor economy whilst helping Alan raise funds for Buxton’s vital services. To make your premises “Focus of the day” please get in touch.
If you would like to help the people of Buxton and surrounding villages then please visit our Just Giving page - or start a fund raising campaign – let your imagination run riot.
